Weekend Astrology

“A wise old owl sat on an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard;
Why aren’t we all like that wise old bird?” Edward Hersey Richards

One of the Sabian symbols associated with Saturday’s Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse is,” An old owl perched high up in a tree.” This symbol speaks of the value of wisdom and perspective and it is a good time to make an effort to be in touch with both. This is the final eclipse in a series of three since late April. Events have conspired to show us we are living in times of great change. This weekend provides a good time to take some time to reflect on what brings meaning and value into your life and and to be in touch with higher wisdom.

Lunar Eclipse Saturday

“We are as the Aborigines say, just learning to survive in infinity.” Michael Talbot

Saturday’s Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse is at 4 degrees Sagittarius and this time is very much about integrating more inspiration and creativity into the way we customarily think. The Sun and Moon square Neptune at the time of the eclipse and Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are conjunct in Gemini – encouraging us to seek the harmony that underlies everything when body and soul are in the right ratio. It is a good time to dream, to seek and heed messages from dreams and to be in touch with higher aspirations for ourselves and the healthy evolution of the planet.
Quote from Michael Talbot’s book The Holographic Universe

Venus Squares Neptune

“We are taking slow and steady steps toward making some deep changes in ourselves – lasting changes, rather than quick fixes.The energy is pushing us to create new, lasting patterns and approaches.”
Genevieve Hathaway
Venus moves up to a square to Neptune today as the Moon enters Cancer and the Uranus/Pluto square. The speed and intensity of information coming at us can be challenging to integrate. As we are in the midst of an eclipse cycle it is best to assume that not all the information is in. It is wise to provide extra down time and keep your thoughts on what you are aspiring to.
