Friday’s Full Moon in Gemini

“I’m going out to clear the pasture spring;
I’ll only stop to rake the leaves away
(And wait to watch the water clear, I may):
I shan’t be gone long – You come too.

I’m going out to fetch the little calf
That’s standing by the mother. It’s so young.
It totters when she licks it with her tongue.
I shan’t be gone long – You come too.” Robert Frost

“All of my seven Narnian books, and  my three science fiction books, began with seeing pictures in my head.” C.S.Lewis

One time I went to visit a friend for tea at her house in the country. When I arrived, she was busy clearing out her entry way, preparing for trips to the library, the antique shop and the recycling center.  When I asked her about it, she said, “I have to clear the entry way to make space for new people and experiences to enter my life.”

The Moon waxes Full tonight – Friday 6/21 at 1 degree of  Capricorn. This is the part of the Moon’s cycle when it is wise to think about shedding what is no longer necessary in our lives – outgrown beliefs,  attitudes and patterns that no longer support  the vision of our journey forward.

Under this influence it bodes well to review commitments, responsibilities and the way your life is organized to see if there’s room for improvement.

The Summer Solstice and This Week in Astrology

“maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach (to play one day)

and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn’t  remember her troubles, and

millie befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;

and Molly was chased by a horrible things
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and

may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.

For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
It’s always ourselves we find in the sea.” e.e cummings

“I should have been a pair of ragged claws
Scuttling across the floors of silent seas.” T.S Eliot

Mercury and Venus move out of  the airy sign of Gemini and into the sign of the ocean creature, the  Crab, Cancer on Monday.

The Sun remains in late  Gemini and will move into Cancer on the Summer Solstice which is Thursday.

The week gets off to a complicated start with the Sun, Mercury and Venus all squaring Neptune. It’s best to keep very clear in communications and double check to make sure the information you are receiving is accurate.

Mercury in Cancer is a nurturing alignment and bring thoughts to home and family. The Crab carries her home on her back wherever she travels and retreats inside when threats arise. Cancer is an emotionally sensitive sign and people born under this influence can retreat to their inner world when things become difficult.

Insights can be had during this time but it’s wise to not get too caught up in the past.

Venus and Mercury  make  a challenging alignment to Pluto late Monday and into Tuesday. It is a good time to let go of old attachments that are no longer relevant in your life.

The Sun is moving up to a square with Neptune which will be  exact on Thursday at 29 degrees of Gemini. This is a “rose colored glasses” alignment and under this influence there can be more confusion, illusion and the manipulation of information. It’s wise to make an effort to stay grounded throughout the week.

The Sun moves into Cancer Thursday at 4:50 PM EDT – marking the time of the Summer Solstice. This is a great day for celebration  and for appreciating the beauty of the natural world and all she provides for us.

On Friday  the Moon waxes Full at 1 degree of Capricorn.

One of the Sabian symbols for this time is,”The human soul, in its eagerness for new experiences, seeks embodiment.”
