“I like it better here where I can just sit quietly and smell the flowers.” Ferdinand the Bull

This week when my housemate was at the grocery story she texted me and asked if I needed anything. I did need a couple of things- honey and eggs- and she said she’s pick them up for me. Later when I went out on my porch there they were – with a small bouquet of flowers. It is under the sign of Taurus that flowers start blooming and the earth comes alive again.
This week Mercury moves out of action oriented Aries and into the earthy sign of Taurus. Taurus is a sensual sign and encourages us to slow down and enjoy the good things in nature and life. It’s provides a calmer atmosphere to take in information and process it slowly rather than rushing to conclusions or acting on it immediately.
Mercury will be squaring Saturn this week indicating a good time to get focused and organized. It’s a good time to watch mental boundaries as there can be a tendency towards depression with this aspect. It provides fertile territory to think about your thought process and the ways you communicate to see if any adjustments could improve things.
Mercury will be moving up to a conjunction with Uranus – the planet of the unexpected and of innovation. It’s a good time to be open to change and breakthroughs.
This week I was listening to a news story about farmers in upstate New York “dumping” their milk because – due to the school closures- there was not the regular demand for it. Meanwhile in NYC in the food pantries there was a dramatic increase in customers needing supplies. So New York officials reached an agreement with Cabot and other large dairy producers, that they would buy the excess milk from the farmers and make yogurt, cottage cheese and cream cheese which they would then donate to the food banks.
It’s wise to be flexible and seek innovative solutions to problems now.
One of the Sabian symbols for this time is,” A clear mountain stream runs steadily downhill.”
