The Moon waxes New Monday in the wee hours – at 2:02 AM EST at 16 degrees of Scorpio. This is a bit of a testy New Moon as the Sun and Moon in Scorpio square Mars, Jupiter and the South Node.
Mars governs – among other things – what it is that we desire. With Venus and Mercury retrrograde now it is wise to consider or reconsider what we desire going forward as well as what is holding us back. This bodes well rather than acting now. There will be a more positive energy to take action as the month goes on – particularly after the direct stations mid month.
It’s best under this influence, to avoid making impulsive decisions.Although New Moons are often a time of setting intentions in the outer world, with the retrograde planets , this New Moon speaks of an inner time.
In general the beginning of the month of November speaks of a time of preparation. The second two weeks provide a good time for taking action.
Jupiter will be conjunct the South Node on and off through the Spring. This alignment can bring up the “old stories” which we have told ourselves about our lives throughout the years, There usually is an ancestral component to these stories. Jupiter is the planet that brings light, wisdom and understanding. This winter provides a time frame that bodes well for another step in the evolutionary process around these issues.
It’s wise as with all retrograde periods to work on things that need to be finished.
