Venus will station retrograde this week on October 3 and the retrograde period will last through November 13. Venus will station in opposition to Chiron, the Wounded Healer.
The archetype of Chiron is associated with the process of restoring or creating a new sense of wholeness after painful experiences. Often there is a common theme around what these experiences are about and they usually necessitate a growth in self knowledge, understanding and compassion.
The Venus retrograde in Scorpio gives us a cycle of forty days to explore this territory more deeply. Since it’s in Scorpio it provides a good window to explore more deeply the areas of life related to self esteem – how you feel about yourself, your relationship with your work, your income.
For part of the retrograde Venus will be in the relationship sign of Libra so thie involves our relationships with others as well – how comfortable and authentic we feel in relationships of all kinds.
