Venus trines Jupiter

This week we enter wise Jupiter’s optimistic realm. Venus in Sagittarius will be moving up to a trine with Jupiter – exact on Thursday and influence through the 11th. This beneficent pair brings hope, optimism and pleasure.
Just one caveat – watch for overindulgence and overspending.
Also do make an extra effort to keep communications clear and double check details through the 7th as confusion can be about as Mercury aspects Neptune.

Venus Trines Uranus

Venus and Uranus – the pair which is known for its very compelling love at first sight experiences and out of the blue love affairs has been widely in effect since the 19th and will be in influence through the end of the month. This is a high voltage duo. It is known for its surprising, exciting, unpredictable nature. If someone comes into your life under this aspect it bodes well to proceed with the Uranian maxim- “expect the unexpected.”
The recent fiery New Moon ushered in a time of discovery, exploration and adventure. It is a good time to broaden your horizons through both inner and outer journeys. Recently Andrew Smith, the Irish astrologer, author and astrocartographer, noted the correlation of a shift in place to a shift in perspective.
Through mid December Mars will trine Saturn. This is an excellent aspect for organization and planning. It bodes well for progress with work and goals in general.

Chiron Stations Direct

Chiron the asteroid of the Wounded Healer stations direct Sunday November 23 after a retrograde period which began in mid June. Chiron is in Pisces now indicating that the healing of old wounds can occur through a spiritual or intuitive process which restores a sense of wholeness. It is a good time to pay attention to your dreams and intuitions for guidance of this kind.

There is, for example, an old saying that if you accompany someone through a difficult process of dying that when they pass over you will be showered with blessings. New Moon in Sagittarius

Years ago I used to make fermented beverages – kombucha and beet kvass – in the pantry of our old New England farmhouse. It seemed like a magical activity to me , the silent, invisible process of fermentation and I liked to think of it as elves in the kitchen – like the elves in folk tales who would come secretly at night when everyone was sleeping and help with household tasks.

One of the Sabian symbols for this Saturday’s New Moon at 0 Sagittarius (at 7:32 am EST) is “Deep within the earth new elements are being formed.” This speaks of the deep changes which occur on an inner level as the result of an often invisible, evolutionary process – before change becomes visible in the outer world. It is a good time to acknowledge this kind of growth and development which has silently gone on and which eventually will bring you to the next step.

Neptune Direct

There are two significant influences in the sky now – the Sun conjunct Saturn and Neptune’s recent station direct.
Neptune is the planet of dreams, visions and spiritual journeys. It has been retrograde since mid June. Neptune’s shadow side is associated with illusion and addiction – in the sense that addiction can be related to a derailed spiritual journey. Neptune is also related to projection – how unacknowledged qualities in the self are perceived as negative or threatening in others.
As Neptune starts to move direct it bodes well to look at what dreams you would like to bring to life now and to envision a process through which they can grow and flourish.
The Sun/ Saturn conjunction ended a yearly cycle and ushers in a new one. If life has been feeling overly burdensome or as if it is “all work and no play”, the pressures are likely to ease now and positive results of your efforts may become visible. It is a good time for organization, planning and catching up on tasks left undone.

Mars Squares Uranus

Mars recently entered the Pluto/Uranus square and is now moving up to square Uranus. One of the things this aspect is associated with is rash and impulsive behavior. It is also associated with overcoming obstacles by making a break for freedom.
Through the 22nd or so of this month provides a good time frame to look at your personal use of power – how you direct and implement energy to achieve your goals. If changes need to be made it is best to make them gradually with commitment and perseverance. Any breaks for freedom at this point would best be done mentally – i.e. to make a break from thought patterns that keep you in an unsatisfactory relationship to your personal power.

Full Moon in Taurus

At the time of the Full Moon the Sun and Moon are in opposition – creating a polarity between the energies The sign of Taurus likes security, stability and pleasure while its opposite, Scorpio is intense and does not like stagnation – its realm is that of endings, transformation and rebirth.

This Full Moon provides a good time to look at what works in your life in terms of creating stability and security and what has become stagnant and is in need of change and transformation.

Mars in Capricorn is moving up to a conjunction with Pluto and this aspect will be in effect from 11/4 through 11/18. The conjunction occurs at 11 degrees – the same degree as Pluto/Uranus conjunction on May 20, 2013.
